Question 2: As I guess my laptop has virus, I decided to activate IBM Recovery System Prompt function, but I do not how to do it. I do not want to use anti virus software, I want my laptop turn back to the condition when it was manufactured. I tried to press F1 go to BIOS, and under Startup, I can see BIOS and NETWORK, under NETWORK I can see it says IBM Recovery System prompt (F11 message) enabled, but can you please tell me how to use F11, as even I press F11, no reaction for my laptop. Question 3 My winXP is malfunctioned, on the desktop, MY COMPUTER has no icon, only a piece of plain icon. I right click want to go to the Display properties, but computer doesn't allow me to do it and pop up a window says system error. PS I am not sure my laptop is R31 2656 or 2657. Please HELP ME! Specifying the Default Operating System for Startup loadTOCNode(2, 'summary'); If you have more than one operating system on your computer, you can set the operating system that you want to use as the default one for when you start your computer: • Click Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click System. • On the Advanced tab, under Startup and Recovery, click Settings. • Under System startup, in the Default operating system list, click the operating system that you want to start when you turn on or restart your computer. • Select the Display list of operating systems for check box, and then type the number of seconds for which you want the list displayed before the default operating system starts automatically.

To manually edit the boot options file, click Edit. Microsoft strongly recommends that you do not modify the boot options file (Boot.ini), because doing so may render your computer unusable.
