E70 error Our machine is 7 months old. The E70 error has been appearing more and more frequently. The machine runs well for the first 35 of out 45 minute cycle. At this point it stops, starts to buzz, and flashes the E70 error. It looks as though the machine is not doing a final rinse so we run the machine again. Sometimes after 2 minutes it stops with E70 message; other times it runs fine until it reaches the 35 minute mark and the E70 error starts again. Is this a mechanical problem, the hookup, or the water pressure? Thanks.

The same thing happen to me the E70 seems to come up on heavier loads/ I thought the load might be unbalanced, so I readjust the load and have to restrt the whole cycle. sometime I just use the spin only cycle. this seeems to work. But I'd really like to know what the E70 code means. There's no mention of any error code inthe owners manual. The clothes feel really hotwhen this happens also. Can anyone help?

We are having the same problem with our washer (its a 6000). Sometimes aI get the message a couple minutes into the cycle and sometimes it does not complete the spin. Will try the hose hook up...

error E70 displays half way thru the cycle and will not clear unless I hit

cancel and have to restart the cycle

I spoke to a service representative and they said that E70 means that the hot and cold water hoses are switched. Even thought I put it on a cold cycle, the water was hot. So, you just need to switch the hoses. The soap will not come out unless it's the right temperature, so that's why my clothes didn't smell fresh.

Hello,

I had this exact same problem with my Frigidaire washer (E70) as bubbles100. I called an appliance repairman on 5/14/09 and paid him $60 to tell me my hot and cold water hoses were reversed/not properly installed.

This repairman was the cheapest priced $60 and he would work till he found the problem. I had one appliance repair company wanting to charge me $90 for 30 min and another wanting to charge $120 for 30 min. Hopefully this information can help save the next person some money by trying this first.

We discovered that the hot and cold water hoses had been connected incorrectly. We switched them around and haven't seen the E70 message since!

Hello Bubbles:
I pulled the manual for your unit on the 7000 model there is no E70 Code plz recheck the code by doing the following

1. Wake the washer by pressing any button.
2. Wait 5 seconds.
3. Press and HOLD the Start/Pause and Cancel
buttons simultaneously. As long as the buttons are
held, the failure code will appear in the display as an
E followed by two numbers, a number and a letter or
two letters. The controlwill beep and the Door Lock,
Wash, Rinse,
and Final Spin indicator lights will
flash.

Mine has the same problem; not sure the cause, but if I push on the door firmly and hit start, it continues to wash.
this error will come up repeatedly sometimes. It does not appear to have anything to do with the size of the load.
