I have the Infocus 4805 and need a new color wheel for it. The original color wheel is screeching so loudly that it's hard to hear the TV sound. Tried taking it apart to oil it but it looked like a sealed motor unit :-((

    Thanks, jnsnwt@hotmail.com

take a look at another's post from November where he found all the info regarding the lack of end-user parts and the InFocus repair facility info; http://www.fixya.com/support/t274715-color_wheel_sp_4805

It also depends what part you need because although the 3 models look similar none of the parts are compatabile with each other except maybe some body parts and the X1 and X2 share the same light tunnel but it would be a risk to assume that the light tunnel from a used model is OK. The only 2 models that share the same parts are the X1 and SP4800. The X2 is brighter and the SP4805 has a 16:9 native ratio.
