Black screen I inherited an old computer and had to get a monitor for it. The monitor didn't work well with it, so the guy told me to disable the display adaptor. Why I don't know. So now when I turn the computer on, I get a black screen. So obviously I can't even see where I am going to re-enable. I tried the voice narrator and am getting no where. Is there a solution to this problem???

    I did try enabling the VGA from f8 and it did not work. Oddly enough I plugged the monitor into another PC and was able to get a "picture" and was able to do a rollback to before the date I messed it up. Now I am back at square one. The monitor has very low resolution and I am unable to change it. I think the monitor is not compatible with the computer. Now I am trying to decide if I should take the monitor back or junk pile the computer...

    no it maight be the video card it self acting up not compatuble with ya 6800 is hi end card what kinda computer do u have
