Hello This is Bill MacLean Billxw@gmail.com. See my earlier post on same problem of dead yp-f and also my reply to member wanting to replace battery. As you can see I had tried pretty well everything when I stumbled on a solution that worked for mine. Follow my directions in other post to remove Battery. Reassemble without
battery and hook up to usb/miniplug to computer.Unit is now powered only by computer usp and the battery is not interfering with
computer now recoginizing the unit. Reformat and reload the O/S
that came with the unit or download the firmware upgrader from Samsung. When you have access transfer some songs and unhook from compuer (remeber o use usb tray icon to stop unit as I think this is what crashed mine) Dissamble unit and replace battery and turn on. E-mail me if this works for yours of if it was a one time fluke with mine.
Regards

Hey, I have the Samsung Yepp YP-F1Z MP3 Player and it gets stuck on the loading screen on startup. It still connects to the computer but it shows as 0 kb. I think it might be a virus because my sister downloaded infected music on her computer. When it crashed her mp3 player we knew something was wrong. So we scanned and got rid of all the viruses but we couldn't fix her player. We were going on a trip the next day so i told her she could use my old one (the yp-f1z). But when we synced that one it did the same thing. We were eventually able to find a way to enter recovery mode on her player to fix it but I can't find anything about the yp-f1z. I could really use some help. It would be much appreciated.
