I'm getting a F2 error code on my Kenmore Elite Oasis top loading washing machine. What does it mean?
Chia, this is not a good one, F2 is a keypad failure or interface mismatch. You can try a couple of things. 1. unplug the washer for a minute and see if the code returns. 2. Remove the consol to access the control board, three screws on the backside and the consol lifts up. On the right side you will see the main board. On the right side of the board, center harness will be the interface ribbon cable. Reseat it a couple of times. If this doesn't work, I believe you will have to replace the touchpad. Catriver.

"F02" is a Long Drain error. If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes this error code will be displayed. In addition, a "SUDS" error may also be generated as a secondary error. This is an indication of a drain pump problem and/or clog in the drain line. You will need to check the following:
1. Check the drain hose to make sure it is not kinked or clogged.
2. Check the electrical connections to the pump and ensure the pump is running.
3. Remove the drain pump filter and check for foreign objects and/or debris.
To check the drain pump, click on the following link for step-by-step instructions.

If the above procedures do not correct the problem, it is recommended by the manufacturer to replace the drain pump

SOURCE: Kenmore Oasis Elite Top Loading Washer with an F2 error
The F02 error code indicates keypad/user interface failure. Most of the time, this is caused by a problem in the keypad/user interface. It can sometimes be caused by a failed control board. You could have an intermittent problem such as a stuck key or contact. As long as the F02 is not displayed, the washer should work normally. You can continue to use it when the F02 is not displayed. It is still safe to use the washer.
Sometimes this problem is caused by a loose wiring harness connection between the keypad/user interface control board and the machine control board.
The F2 error code on this washer indicates a stuck button on the user interface control board. The procedure for accessing the control boards on this washer is shown in the image below. I recommend unplugging the washerand checking the wire harness connection from the user interface control board to the machine control board. Try unplugging the connections and then plugging them back in a few times. Make sure that they are plugged in correctly and then reassemble and test the washer. If the F2 is still displayed, then the user interface control board will need to be replaced.

Same machine, similar problem; I have intermittent error codes F1, F2. Anyone know how I can enter diagnostic mode and what tests might be run from there? Also, when this fails, it sometimes leave a tub full of water. Difficult to work on when full! Can it be pumped out from diagnostic mode? Thanks.
Regarding an F2 code; I've had a repair man here twice now and he maintains that the only problem is that I have used too much soap. He cleaned the tube and says that I have to run the wash 2x in order to clear the suds. I've tried to do this, but the code keeps coming up. What now?

Same problem. unplugged washer it is working some what, however rather odd. Could it be as I've seen F2 on other machines a drain problem. Also the washer will go into the F2 mode while not in use, and start to beep. Would a good SMACK with a big hammer work???

Displays F2 error. Beeps every 30 secons when plugged in but not running. During wash cycles, the control panel "spin cycle" time lights run up and down and the spin time recaclulates itself constantly. The wash cycle goes thru ok and the clothes get clean. I have unplugged and waited 10 mins but still the same problem. This went on thursady thru sunday, but now has diappeared monday and Tuesday!.
F2 code shows on display and beeps constantly. Burners work fine, oven will not work at all. If I try to get the oven to work, the code instantly comes on and beeps. Sometimes the code display and beeps stop and the time shows instead. when I try to get the oven, the F3 code will show. When I push the 'clear' button the F3 code goes off and the F2 code instantly comes on. What does the F2 and F3 code mean and what part do I need to fix the problem?
