Pluging in i accidently threw away my D-Link ADSL router or modem, installing book and how to plug it in. because i have had computer problems and needed a different modem, but it's all better and i want to put my d-link back on, so could someone please give step by step intructions on how to do it? thanks

try to upgrade the latest firmware for the router and that would fix this problem, check if this problem is with both wired and wireless computers, if not with the wired..only wireless has problems, check if you have any other wireless device operating in the same frequency of the router..if s, turn off other devices and check b.cos that me interfere your w/ls connection, if wired is having the same problem, connect modem straight to the pc and observe the connection, so that you can isolate problem.. Your router is not synchronized with the line. You should power cycle your router (i.e)disconnect power cable from the router waith for 30 seconds and then reconnect, check if the dsl cable is connected properly to the router, if yes remove it once and the reconnect it, this should fix the problem. upgrade the latest firmware version for your router .Are there any electrical devices near the router that are only switched on at that time of day and then switched off again in the morning. What i'm thinking is that you are experiencing REI or Repetitive Electronic Interference. This is caused by EMP emmisions form devices nearby. Have you had anything fitted recently that may be hardwired into you master socket, this will bypass your filter and cause interference on the line. The only other thing I can think of is that there maybe some engineering works going on at the exchange or on the line.

Yea this type of happen with most of DSL users! This is due to weak signal telephone line. You should only have 1 phone and 1 internet connection. You should remove all other telephones in the home. Then it will work fine. If you only have 1 phone then you must call the phone service person who will check that status of your wire. Might be your wire is old so it creates a problem. Then replace it the you'r done.

Yes, this can be a problem with the modem that you have first thing that you need to do here is to reset the modem and reconfigure it back, but if after that still have the same problem better contact your ISP and ask them if everything is working from their end...

when the adsl is not blinking that means your phone line is having problem plz ask your phone line provider to check the line.
