Error 5 ! Canon Rebel Xti w/ 28-135mm It was working fine! had it for 10 day's and after about 560 images taken ( 4 gig flash card ) The message read : "The built in flash auto pop up was obstracted... turn it off and on again..same problem. any simple tip ? solution ? or take it back to the dealer. I appreciate your Help ! Peter Toronto

    The flash will not come up when the button is pressed - can gently lift with fingernail. Small obstruction was removed. Still will not come up - is this a common problem

  • Try the scotch tape or masking tape technique: get around two to three inches long sticky tape, stick about an inch above the flash housing, turn on the camera, hold the remaining tape upward , shoot the camera and pull the tape upward with a force enough to pull-up the flash bulb housing.
