Well more then likely someone reset your router. now securing it again will depend on the model but typically from the internet explorer window type in the address bar 192.168.1.1 it will prompt you for a username and password username by default is "admin" and leave password field blank and click ok. this is for most models.(if you are not able to access this you are going to need to find the manual or get then model # and goto linksys.com to find the default password for that model"
from here click on "wireless" at the top then click on "wireless security" here you can choose the security mode either wep or wpa enter your encryption key click save settings and now your router is protected again.
