If you keep getting the "Slide the Green Tab? error message, and sliding it doesnt help, there is an underlying message that you cannot see, apparently. If you go to your Brother Utilities software, and run the troubleshooting button, it gives you a different error message: "Drum!" and it links you to what that message means for your model. Ill copy what it says for my model, hl-l5200DW but at the bottom is a long list of models that it also applies to:
The corona wire(s) on the drum unit needs to be cleaned. Clean the corona wire(s) in the drum unit.

The drum unit or the toner cartridge(s) and the drum unit assembly is not installed correctly. Remove the drum unit, remove the toner cartridge(s) from the drum unit, and put the toner cartridge(s) back into the drum unit. Reinstall the drum unit in the machine.

If the issue still continues, the drum unit is at the end of its life. Replace the drum unit with a new one.
