I have the same problem. Have you find the solution?
This error displays that the motor controller is faulty and needs replacing. However the first thing to do is turn off the treadmill mains power and unplug it. Then check all the wring from the motor and computer and ensure that all the connectors are firmly located in the sockets and that the connectors to the motor controller are firmly located and that there are no signs of burning around the motor controller unit. Then check the motor for continuity. If all this is OK then the motor controller will need replacing.
Also make sure that the belt and deck is correctly lubricated every 6 months and every 3 months with daily heavy useage.

Thank you for your reply. Where can I look for the battery? Do I need to open the display panel?
When I switch on my Trimline treadmill 1050.2E, the entire display panel lights up for a few seconds and then it all goes blank except a message showing 'E2' on its screen. After that none of the functions work. Please advise what the problem could be. Thanks
