Keep flowing water even when i adjust the knob that controls the water tryed the - area and the plus area keep running to much water how to adjust the proper water flow

Similar problem - for about 25 cups, the machine was dispensing more water even though I didn't change the setting. Now it dispenses for 5-7 seconds and stops with the red light coming on solid. Need to shut it down and turn it back on. The machine does not resume - it starts the cycle over from the beginnnig.
