Hey not a big problem. its usually encountered by many users.
i too get this many times.
this happens when you keep papers freshly.
it needs to sense the papers kept.
now what you do is just keep more papers or try re-aligning the papers kept inside
actually there is a sensor that detects the papers once they are loaded. in some printers it wont detect the papers once we keep it. even tough papers are there in tray it wont detect it. just trying keeping papers in different positions. it will detect it.
advice would be always keep papers in reserve in the printer. dont let it make empty
even if different positions dont work out see if there is any obstacle in the\at makes the sensor not reachable to paper... it may be like fust or somethin.. u will have to clean it..
even after this its not detecting means please tell me..
paper drawer is completely full... no printing happens..
Trying to print documents - responce reads "load manual feeder with plain paper letter"
..if this is the problem solution is as follows..
The printer may be trying to draw paper from a source other than the
paper tray. Many printers have a hatch or slot in the front or on the
side in which one can load non-standard paper sizes and envelopes. It
may be trying to print there. Try to locate this place and put a few
pieces of paper in there.
paper drawer is completely full... no printing happens..right..

if the paper is not detected itself then sensor must be bad..
sensor will be located near the edge of the slot where you input your papers..
this model uses a LED to transmit a light through a little section of
the empty toner cart. Its a little square area and should be located on
the backside of the empty toner cart. you will see the sensor that it
slides into. Make sure this area is clean. If this area is dirty you
will still have a error light.
my best guess would be there was spillage of toner on the sensors to
detect the waste basket overflowing, hence why the error message is
constant. This would require cleaning of the sensors, a relatively
simple task but for proper access, the machine would need to be
partially disassembles for thorough cleaning. It would be best done at
a repair centre.

I checked the paper tray. Rearrnaged the papers. Filled to the almost to the top. The same condition remains. Now, what else?
Where is the sensor located? Is there anything you can do restore the sensor and check on it?
