MSI files are Windows installer files for the Windows operating system. You can possible try to open them using an emulator program on the iPad like: Wineskin or Crossover Mac.
Make sure by going to the Application Manager under Settings and verify that you haven't just lost the icon on some page. The playstore is normally loaded as part of the operating system for your device. There are places where you can download an installable file for the playstore, but some devices will not allow installation of downloaded .apk files, or require you to turn off a setting that prohibits installing downloaded files. Without knowing the mfr and model number of your device, who knows what you would have to do to get this app reinstalled if you truly have somehow deleted it. How to Reload Windows XP Without Removing Files
Deleting system files, modifying the registry and installing incompatible drivers to Windows XP can damage the integrity of the operating system, rendering it inoperable. Virus infections are often responsible for making the aforementioned changes to a system, but employees who have administrative access to the workstation can make deleterious modifications to the OS as well. Reinstalling Windows XP can repair the OS, but if work-related files are stored to the system partition, all of the data will be erased during the installation process. To reload Windows XP without losing files, you can perform an in-place upgrade, also known as a repair installation.
Step 1Insert the Windows XP CD into the optical drive and then press "Ctrl-Alt-Del" to restart the computer. Step 2Press any key when prompted to load the contents of the disc. Press "Enter" on the Welcome to Setup screen. Step 3Read the license agreement, pressing "PgDn" to scroll down the page. Press "F8" to agree to the terms. The CD will search for previous installations of Windows XP. Step 4 Press "R" to repair the selected operating system. The disc will begin reinstalling the operating system to the hard drive without affecting personal files. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the repair installation. Step 5 Log in to Windows XP and sign on to the Internet when installation completes. Click "Start," "All Programs" and then "Windows Update." Step 6 Click "Scan for Updates" to search for applicable service packs and hotfixes to reinstall to the OS. Step 7 Click "Install Now" to bring the in-place upgrade up-to-date.

Tip
Make sure you have your Windows XP product key (found on the CD cover or on the computer case) available prior to reinstallation.
Warnings
If possible, back up your files previous to the installation in case something goes awry during the process.
You will need to reinstall all non-native programs and removable devices after performing an in-place upgrade.
I would reinstall it as per the instructions from HP. as there may be drivers missing. Copy attached.

Recovery
Each unit is shipped
with a recovery CD kit containing Operating System Recovery and Driver/Application
Recovery CDs. These CDs allow users to either recover or repair the tablet's operating
system and select drivers without losing personal data. The Operating System CD
also provides the option of reinstalling the operating system software provided
with the tablet.
I dont know this tablet unfortunately ,but a lot of this type of equipment has whats called "embedded" software which means basically the operating system is inside a component(chip) on the motherboard ,usually it can only be flashed with extraneous equipment. This is in relation to other types of equipment which either include the option to reinstall the os on from the hard drive or stuff with drives so you can re-install from disc. Embedded software makes this type of equipment small and thin,as opposed to having a drive, advantages are it is shockproof and small. Im sorry i cant help you any more ---good luck!
there are two way either you set the password in system bios or reformat the hard drive and reinstall the operating system . it will fix all the seeting to new motherboard.
Question 1: Will the tablet operate on the docking station (or power cord) without the battery in place?
If not, the power circuit on the tablet motherboard is broken.
Question 2: If you plug in the power cord into the tablet, is the connection "loose"?
Check the other tablet to see if it is the same loosness at the tablet power connector.
If it is loose, the power receptical in the tablet can be soldered back onto the motherboard.
Recommend taking it into a shop to re-solder.
If under warranty, get it repaired.
If not under warranty, your choice if you want to use it they way it is.
depends on the proccesor, the ram and if it gots a dvd drive.you need at least 2 gb of ram for the operating system alone so about 4 should be good.xp is also good.linux if it doesn't have much ram.send me the specifications via email and i will tell you what is best. email==gamecrazy944@yahoo.com
