It's because of the EEPROM Error.Try the following program.

The red and green light are flashing alternately and it won't print. What can I do?

Buried inside the Epson C46 is a usage counter. Mine was preset to 8300... when this was exceeded, I got the dreaded flashing lights. Go to http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/forums/printer/39038

Epson C46 colour printer green and red lights are flashing....but

Basically your printer says that you need to replace the waste ink pads. If this happens for the first time to this printer you can just reset the counter using SSC Service Utility (http://www.ssclg.com/epson.shtml) or if it happened more than once you shoul first replace the ink pads and then reset the counter or the printer may overflow. That's it.

If this is not mechanically block. You can use the epson reset program. Key in " epson reset software" to web search bar the uppermost link. It have a feature to move its ink cartridge to exchange cartridge position.

No... It means that your printer has reached the point where it believes your waste ink pads are "full".

All Epson printers can have their waste ink hoses redirected to an external tank and you should have no problems resetting the waste ink counter. The problem you will have though is that the C46 has no known instructions for locating and redirecting the waste hose (and I know of most models).

It's not easy but get some rubber gloves and take your time... it's not like you've anything to lose. Best of luck and remember there are forums and discussions on this sort of problem all over the web now.

I have a Toshiba E-studio 650 with a C46 error code.

Hello sir; The error code you post out it's means "fuser pressure roller thermistor bad let's try to reset if don't work have to replace it;
Turn power off , press and hold down 0 and 8 while turn on the power, enter 400, press start,enter 3 ,press start, enter 0 press set or interupty. turn power off and back on again.
