My Philips flat screen TV remote has to be pressed 6 times before it will turn off. Why?
It will turn on right away, but pressing the power button one time won't turn it off. I have to press it 6 times for it to turn off and for the red light to turn on.
Re: My Philips flat screen TV remote has to be pressed...
The batteries could have died in the remote and need to be replaced. Or the remote might be broken and you should buy another remote for your TV or it could be on the wrong settings for the remote.
