    When I install the driver for the smartEther adapter with windows xp, the driver is found, but it will not connect the internet, is this adapter compatible with win xp? the driver name is sc1200a-tx

    I have downloaded a driver and installed it and the network card (GN-788V) yet apon reboot windows XP Professional finds the card and does NOT find the driver. I have tried all possible ways to install the driver but xp can Not find it, and reports that the driver is NOT installed for this device. any thoughts, or suggestions?

    hello friends, i have a 2wire 1000 series, i can intall it but i can not enter inthe homepage or principal page for make the configurations. i have windows vista bussines and another with xp pro.

I don't understand your question... you need a network driver or a network adapter? If you have a NIC, you need a driver. Tell us more about your NIC (Network Interface Card).

Give your Laptop Model number,then only i can findout the network adapter model.,either if you have driver cd then go through the below steps.
select My Computer icon on desktop then right Click-click on Properties-Select Device Manager and double click-select and click on left arrow on Network Adapters-select and right click-Update driver-select Browse my computer for driver software(WIN-7)-click on Browse-select your Cd/Dvd drive(Put your driver cd in your Cd/dvd drive) and give the path -Next-Finish.

The network adapters dont even show up in the device manager, where can i download the drivers?
  1. If the network adapter isn't showing up in the Device Manager, even as an Unknown Device, then the Network adapter may be faulty.
  2. Try removing the Network adapter, restart the computer, then shut down the computer after the restart.
  3. Now reinstall the adapter with the computer off.
  4. Once the Network card is reinstalled, turn the computer on. Check the Device Manager for your Network Adapter.
  5. The computer should detect the card and ask you for drivers. If it doesn't, that means it either automatically found the drivers and installed them, or your network adapter has died.

Hi,
The error message states that the drivers for your network adapter are not installed. You can either use a dell drivers and utilities disc to install the network drivers or can go to http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/ and can select your computer model and entering your service tag number (located on desktop) and can install drivers.

Try to re-install the drivers.

Firstly, right click on every option under network adapters and select uninstall and later click on scan for hardware changes. It should re-install the drivers if they are present in the operating system.

Have you installed tnhe drivers for your Network Adapter? Without the drivers the adapter is, as far as the computer knows, not there. Did you get a disk with your computer and/or adapter? If so install the drivers and problem should be solved.
