Not much info to diagnose here. Some laptops use red lights to indicate a bad battery, or wireless is working, or battery is charging, or many other things. What does your manual say about the specific light and what color it should be? Check the manufacturer's website for the manual.

Turn the keyboard on and let it run all the way down. Then try charging again. If the Red light stays on, the keyboard has was charged. If the same conditions exist, then arrange for a replacement.

this happened to me, it needs charging, make sure the blackberry symbol on the lead is facing up, putting it in upside down moves the little tab inside the housing stopping you from charging properly, if it is a bit loose realign the tab with a thin nail file carefully just a touch then push the lead in symbol side up and switch on give it time it should charge..

please let me help. the ac adapter will plug into the back of the latop.
check lights then if red light still on after one hour plugged in then you need new battery.try this if two green lights only on after, you do not need battery.

you can sometimes find them on ebay...
