I have exactly the same problem.

Replaced touchpad assy.by repairman after only 6 mos.Now starting to bubble & crack again ( 5 mos.after replacement).Must be inherent problem with this type of touchpad. Have contacted supplier in Canada (Mabe.ca) & they said that they have not heard of any other customer complaints of this problem. (hard to believe that) Don't know who else to complain to. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. George

Same problem. bubbled after 8 mths. replaced by GE. then bubbled again after 7 mths. GE refused to replace again, said warranty was only one year and did not include parts replaced under warranty. obviously a defective part. i'm not buying GE anymore. Good luck.

There is a "retrofit" for this oven now. Based on the parts diagram, it appears GE is no longer supplying the original touch panel for this oven. They've redesigned it and are requiring a retrofit that is about $300 for parts. I'd like to try to do the repairs myself, but I'm concerned the oven must be removed in order to service the control panel.

There was likely a bad batch produced and until the stock is exhausted it will continue. keep after them at the first sign of problems as most places warranty parts for a year or at least 90 days.
