Error code:00007180 i've encountered this error.i cannot transfer audio files from hardisk to sonicstage."cannot find music files that are not registered to sonicstage".

I have this problem too. Found that if you go to the folder that has the music file in it, right click on each problem file and select 'open with -> " and choose Sonic stage, then it will import the file. Next problem may be that it imports it with 'unknown' as the file name but if you then right click on the file within SonicStage and select 'Get CD info' it will find it. Tedious if you have several dozen/hundred files that won't import I'm afraid...

This error seems to come when files you are trying to transfer already exist in Sonic Stage. Search "My Library" carefully to make sure the files haven't gone somewhere unexpected the first time you tried.

There are two possible reasons why this error occurs:

1) You have already transferred the files into your library. The reason why you cannot see them is because the file has not been properly labeled. To find them in Sonicstage view your library by artist name., under artist's initial click others then, at the top of you library list there will be a sonicstage icon with no artist or album name, double click that icon and your transferred files should be listed inside.

2) The directory you transferred from is corrupt. If you move your MP3 files from its current folder into a new folder then import them into your sonicstage library from your new folder, a window will be displayed confirming that your files are being transferred. Once this has completed and you still cannot find your imported files then return to step 1.

Solution #3 was very helpfull,
the file i was trying to transfer was allready in the library.. then i selected all files manually with "ctrl+mouse", then right click mouse button and selected "find cd info".
voilá! ;) all the info for the tracks and avaiable for transfer to device

As noted in solution 3 and 6; this seems to happen when the files to be imported are already in Sonicstage. I couldn't find them because the selected "view" mode was playlist, and there were not any, so no files nor playlists were displayed. It is a lot easier to set the "view" to "All tracks" in order to be aware what is and what's not in the library.

Yeaaah, this whole thing with the "Open With" option is gonna take a looonngg time.
