error 600

Question

scanner will not scan. It worked beautifully for many hours. Now... will not scan and keeps going to the (not responding) mode in 'force quit' How can i get it to scan.  Firewire, powermac g-5.

I bought the pro version of the 8700, used it about once a month--very light use.  When it died, I found that Microtek won't even sell parts!  I agree, NEVER buy another Microtek product!  This thing cost me over a $1000 and after one year, NO support!  Any company but Microtek.
