My 9600 printer bands when I have it set to matte black ink. It does not band when it is set to photo black ink, yet the colors are greatly off from what I see on the monitor. The colors are perfect when it is set to the matte black ink but then I get banding, primarily in the blacks.
I have done several nozzle checks and cleanings, and everything appears fine there. Any ideas?
Try doing a printer head alignment, sounds like the printer heads are overlapping causing the banding.
Screen colors also never match perfectly to the print either, whist your monitor can produce millions of colors, the printer can only do some many.
