I have samsung sgh E700 mobile. whenever i put a new sim card it prompts for a sim unlock password. I have forgotten the password. I have tried almost all the rest codes availble on Internet. I am able to reset all the password to default mode expect the SIM LOCK. Please suggest a method by which i can unlock my phone.

But I believe that this problem in not related to the operator. This is a sim password reset problem. Is there any chance that the Sim Lock option in Samsung SGH e700 gets automatically Enabled? If yes what is the default password of that? I have tried 00000000 , but this does not work. Please suggest me how to disable SIM Lock Password in my Samsung SGH E700 mobile phone........

I just want to say in regards to Solution 1 that it is not possible to input the * (the bottom left key with *) from your reset code. All other keys seem to be OK to use just that one . I guess that it is because the asterixes (*) are used by default in the password entry box therefore can not be entered as a standalone digit.
If you or someone knows why or even otherwise please add your wisdom.
