Feeder problem the feeder starts to have problem lifting the page recently. instead it will spit the page out of the feeder, causing an error msg on the screen. to manually solve the problem, i have to use my thumb or finger to push at the edge of the paper stack, so that the paper can't be spit out in that direction.

The same thing has been happening to me. I believe that as the machine gets older, soft plastic parts get hard. Your problem is that the soft rubber part that rotates down and picks up the paper has gotten a bit hard. It won't pick up the paper as well as a new soft part. Just look into the back of the feed tray when you print a page. You'll see a sort 1/2 wheel rotate down and try to pull the paper up. What I did to improve the traction of the plastic was roughen it up with some medium grit (150) sandpaper. You can easily remove the front cover by first opening the cover, pull out the cartridge, press in on the side of the cover where it rotates in the printer's body, slide it out. You'll see the 1/2 wheel clearly now - it has horizontal ridges. Use your sandpaper lightly in the direction of the ridges - horizontal. Then, blow out the dust. Put your front cover back on, put in the cartridge and voila - it'll work. Atleast mine has been working fine. This sort of fix works on rubber contact wheels (in a VCR or cassette deck) for a while, but eventually the hardened part will need to be replaced. But see how it works for you. Best of luck.
