These saws are usually really reliable, and SOLID.
I'd suggest that you UNPLUG THE SAW and then explore a bit. Look for loose bolts at the pivot points, or possibly a poorly fitted bolt. If this is your saw that you have had for some time, you should know what maintenance has been done that possibly caused this problem.

SOURCE: Black & Decker model SR 650 table router. I am using a brand new tongue and groove bit, but every time I try to do it it smokes majorly from the bit and burns the wood. What's wrong?

What type of wood and how fast you are feeding it has a lot to do with it.
