When i boot windows xp i have to choose f1 to boot cpu fan not detected the message also says something about passwords have been erased how do i fix this i have replaced mother boards also still no fix...
The best way to fix it is to check all your connections
Well from the information you have given, I can see you have at-least 1 hardware issue and several software issues.
1st. you need to disconnect all external devices and get back to the basics.
2nd. Check and see where your CPU fan is hooked up at. The CPU fan must be connected to the CPU fan power jack.
3rd. If you have removed any of the hard drives or other drives, you must check all jumper settings on the drives.. Master, slave, or CS. If your drives were connected primary then secondary, the hard drive must be set as master on the primary ide port.
The CD or DVD drives must be set as master and slave or Cable select, on the secondary port.
One wrong jumper or cable termination and your unit will not boot correctly and give you a fault.
Also check the date and time, as they must be set correctly.
Once you have corrected your hardware problems, you should go on to your software issues.
The best way to start is to Del or F-10 in the BIOS at startup.
Check and change the date and time.
Next page, check the drive layout. Primary 1st. Master - HardDrive, Secondary Master CD or DVD ( if two drive exist, one is master and the other is a slave. )
After all is corrected, go to password page, Clear all Passwords.
If all is ok the unit should startup and run OK.
If you have changed the Hard drive, you may need to reload XP.
Check ur all connections on motherboard..also try to change power supplier i.e. SMPS

Make sure that the fan is plugged in to the motherboard. You might need to replace the fan. If the fan is not working properly the computer will not allow it to boot. this is for protection to keep the proccessor from burning up
