I have a Curtis Gemini 312 coffee maker. When the heating relay comes on to heat the water in the tank it causes a buzz in the sound system. How do I replace the relay and where is it?

I had this problem. Make sure the magnetic float rises to the top when the water tank is full. If it does not, darain the tank and dry it. Tuen the tank up-side down over and over to free the magnet. If the magnetic float works (mine did) try pushing in the flashing blue light button and opening the steam valve. It might be a coincidence, but this worked for me.

Mine had the same problem ... all the lights are on, grinding works fine, but no heat on the plate, and no dripping of water.

After a weekend on the workbench, I mastered this machine. The KM7005 has 2 x MicroTemp G4 thermal cutoff (TCO) fuses which interrupt the Live line, for overheat protection. Mine didn't overheat per se, but the TCO blew anyway. Not reset-able ... need to be replaced with a soldering iron. To date, I have helped 13 people on this site fix this exact problem.

1. Power off machine.

2. Using a metal paperclip, insert it into left side of top needle. It must insert at least 1" deep. Insert it into slot on right side and again from back of needle.

3. Remove KCup cradle. Separate bottom from top. In the top section, insert the paperclip up into bottom needle from the bottom upwards. It will not go all the way thru and this is normal.

4. Reassemble KCup cradle and reinsert it back into coffee maker.

5. Power on machine.

6. Brew a cup of water only. There may be coffee grounds in the water and these should eventually clear during the remaining steps. NOTE: A large cup brew cycle should output a full 8 ounces (235cc). Less means there is still a blockage

My pot's aluminum the heating tube was blocked by mineral deposits from the tap/bottled water. Try brewing a couple of cups of WHITE vinegar (NOT red vinegar) thru the pot MULTIPLE TIMES. For a third time, run the vinegar thru the pot ONLY half-way and let the vinegar sit in the pot (in the heating tube} overnight. Finish 'brewing' the rest of that. Finally, run several cups of plain water thru to get rid of the vinegar smell.
