The time it takes to become fluent in English can vary widely from person to person. Fluency is a complex and multi-faceted skill that involves not just speaking but also listening, reading, and writing. Several factors can influence the speed at which someone becomes fluent in English, including:
1.Initial Language Proficiency: If you already have a foundation in English or a related language, you may progress more quickly.
2.Learning Environment: Immersing yourself in an English-speaking environment, whether physically or virtually, can accelerate the learning process.
3.Consistency and Practice: Regular and consistent practice is key. Daily exposure to the language through speaking, listening, reading, and writing can make a significant difference.
4.Motivation and Learning Methods:
Your motivation to learn and the effectiveness of the learning methods you use are crucial. Engaging and effective language learning materials and methods can enhance your progress.

Hi Susan, there is fix no time period to learn anything. It all depends upon your practice. If you practice on regular basis with your native english speaker and try to communicate with everyone in English only. It may be possible that you will start to speak in English fluently.
