Best way to replace chain oiler line on a 036 stihl saw

To replace the chain oiler line on a Stihl 036 chainsaw, you will need to follow these steps:
  1. Disconnect the spark plug wire to prevent the chainsaw from starting accidentally.
  2. Drain the old chain oil from the oil tank.
  3. Remove the old chain oiler line from the chainsaw.
  4. Clean any debris or blockages from the oiler hole.
  5. Cut a length of new chain oiler line to the appropriate size. The line should be long enough to reach from the oil tank to the oiler hole on the bar.
  6. Attach one end of the new chain oiler line to the oil tank and the other end to the oiler hole on the bar.
  7. Secure the line in place with the appropriate fittings and clamp.
  8. Fill the oil tank with the recommended type and amount of chain oil.
  9. Reconnect the spark plug wire and test the chain oiler to ensure it is functioning properly.
It is important to use the correct type and amount of chain oil to ensure the chainsaw operates properly and to extend the life of the chain and bar. If you are not comfortable performing this repair yourself, it is recommended to have a professional chainsaw repair technician handle the repairs for you.

What turns the worm gear on the oiler onhusqvarna 142

There should be what looks like a widely spaced spring on the motor shaft, which then turns the gear on the pump. If that "spring" is missing, then your oiler won't pump. The spring comes in a kit you get when replacing the oil pump.

Chain oiler not working

econvert (4)-svlhhucpg3yfogwt2cgj0zh0-4-7.png Hopefully this diagram will come through if not go to homelite.com, service and support, find parts, parts locator, model xl then to engine internals. You probably have a bad oil pump and these are parts and numbers you might need.
4. Spring..69447
5. Gasket 2 each 69244
6. Plunger A12356B (most common problem)
7. Oil pump body 693431
8. Ball 60051
9. Spring 68570

IS THERE AN ADJUSTMENT FOR BAR OILER ON POULAN WOOD SHARK

sounds like your oiler went bad, pretty common for poulan, pump runs approx 16.00 and pull bar, clutch and it is right there, pull 2 screws and pull pump out and replace the screw spring looking thing also and put back together and should be good...the clutch has an arrow on it that tells which way to turn to get off.

Ihave never been able to get the automatic oiler to work on a Poulan Wikd Thing 18" chainsaw. I have replaced the spring drive, bought a spacer tool for the spring drive, replaced the plastic gear,...

It is a fairly simple oil pump system, the spring gear on the crank will fit on either way, however the spacing of the coils is is critical, there is a small plastic tool to do this, i think you said you had this tool, it has to be an issue with the pump, the gear not only turns but has a throw, the amount of throw denotes the amount of oil delivered, a small steel pin in the side of the pump body works in a cut a way in the pump shaft, has the pin fallen out? just cant think what else you can do as you seem to have done everthing.

Stihl 029 super oiler is not working

Pull off the clip and sprocket, then check the spring or wire behind the clutch. There is a notch in the sprocket hub that drives the spring when the hub is spinning. Sometimes the spring comes off the worm gear that it drives. If the spring is not there you need to remove the clutch to check it. It has left handed threads on it)

455 rancher will not oil, replaced complete oiler,

An IPL with oiler components and part numbers can be here:
HusqvarnaUSA.com
http://www.husqvarna.com/us/homeowner/support/download-manuals/
Enter the 3 digit model number (no XPs, Es, just the numbers)
Serial number decode – for use with IPL
06 1500198
06 = year produced – 2006 (single digit before 2000)
15 = week produced - March
00198 = 198th unit Husky produced that week

Our job is to provide the knowledge and illustrations available to help you determine which oiler component has likely failed. Your job is to apply that knowledge and make the final determination. If you aren’t comfortable doing that then your only option short of saw disposal is your friendly local chainsaw seller/mechanic. You might be pleasantly surprised at how reasonable they are.

Oil System Plugged.
  1. Remove the clutch cover, bar, and chain, clean the bar groove, any holes and passages on the rear of the bar (both sides, consider rotating the bar) Clean the saw’s oiler hole and channel. Start the saw and see if it oils when revved up. If yes reassemble your saw.
  2. If no, continue with 2.Insert a blunted, hooked piece of wire through the oil filler hole and pull the hose in the oil tank out (clean or replace, difficult to determine serviceability). Work your way through the linkage cleaning and replacing any defective parts as you go. Carefully check the hoses for cracks especially at bends and connections. If equipped with an oil pump it is usually behind the clutch (clutch is probably left handed thread). Please make extensive notes & some digital pictures will help during reassembly. GL

Chain oiler replacement

If it is Stihl 025 the chain oiler is on the bottom.First check if the worm gear(under the starter)is in good condition.Replace the starter(blocking the piston in the cilinder with a rope with many nods, that rope entering in the sparkplug hole). On the handle there are 4 screws on the right side (under 4 black plastic plugs,at the bottom 2 screws.)CUnlock them and take off the handle. At the bottom you can see the chain oiler( under the hose) the mark for right possition is there.Take off the oiler using a screw(lock clockwise into the oiler)and then pull it out.Clean with compressed air the oil hole.Put back together .Succes!
