Dyson dc-33 stopped working the power will not come on.is there a fuse and where is it?
Hi Becky, it's Jack at Dyson.
All Dyson DC33 upright vacuums bought within the UK will include a standard replaceable 13 amp fuse within the plug. Dyson vacuums purchased in other markets may not include a fuse within the plug. However, most Dyson vacuums are protected by a thermostat engineered to shut the machine off for protection if it starts to overheat.
If your DC33 shut off while you were using it, it may have overheated due to a blockage, and the filter(s) may also be overdue for a wash. The vacuum should reset automatically after it's had at least 1-2 hours to cool down. Washing the filter(s) according to the User guide and removing any blockages should prevent this issue from reoccurring.
We're happy to talk you through some quick troubleshooting checks to help determine the cause of the issue, and to ensure your DC33 is working as well as it should be. You'd just need to give us a call on 0800 298 0298 (UK), 1-866-693-9766 (US), 1-877-397-6622 (CA) or 1800 239 766 (AU).

Same problem here. We noticed a loss of suction for about 5 minutes and the suction stopped. Beater bar still rotates but ZERO suction.

SOURCE: how to change the belt
With a small torx driver (not the folding kind, the screw driver kind) and some patience, the belts can be replaced pretty easily. They run about 10 bux for both (you may as well change both). Dyson, like most manufacturers, makes it seem difficult in the hopes that you'll send it back to them for repair, where they will most likely sell you the whole clutch assembly because its easier to replace than fiddling with belts.
