How do i get an answer

Question sent earlier...without model #. Model # is 795.71053.010. Ice maker no longer working....door panel is now no longer working.

Unfortunately the ice makers do go bad for a number of reasons. Sometimes it is ice blockage, stripped gears or an electronics failure. They are not really repairable but they are fairly easily replaceable. If you are fairly handy you can buy the part from the manufacturer or a refrigerator parts supplier and replace it yourself. A typical complete replacement ice maker unit runs between $75 and $125 depending upon the type you have. Regards.

First clean your condenser and be sure if it has a fan it is operational. Replace the water filter if you have one. Check the temperature in the freezer, be sure it is cold enough. Leave the thermometer in there with door close over night, then read very quickly. If that does not solve it and the temp settings are correct you may have to call a service tech.
