Defective ccd imager!! company will replace this ccd imager free of charge. Year 2002 up to 2005 released unit has a factory defect ccd imager. the company recalled those units and replaced with a stronger version of ccd imager ( they are still doing it). check it out.

Took camera to authorised Canon repairers in Glasgow,who repaired free of charge. Thanks again philipp.
Menu and flash work fine, but lcd only shows black screen with some grey fuzzy lines on it. Took some pictures and put the sd card into my computer, pictures look the same as lcd display.
