Google com When I click on my web browser (Chrome) it takes me to the following site: http://www.google.com/ig/redirectdomain?brand=LENP&bmod=LENP and not to the google homepage. I can click on any site from the taskbar and they will open. However, my default homepage is the site mentioned above. I have tried to change it from the control panel and even ran a microsoft scan but I have been unsuccessful in removing this.

Go to chrome://settings/ in a new tab, take a look at the On Startup, Pick the last options : Open a specific page or set of pages, click set pages. Remove all other page and only add google.com as the main page. Then click ok, and restart the browser

I would contact Best Buy directly and let them know your situation. Usually they will honor stuff like this within the first 30 days of purchase.

Hi,

This is quite a common problem with Google Chrome and it's usually caused by a Microsoft update.

Follow these steps to rectify the problem>

Go to control panel>Internet Options>Connections>LAN settings> and uncheck use proxy server for your LAN. This works 99% of the time, let me know if it doesn't.

Rememer that restarting the computer again is sometimes reqiured after changing a setting.

Regards.

You probably have a problem with your router, or cable modem. Try resetting the router and cable modem. To do this unplug the cable modem for ten seconds, then the router for ten seconds. Plug in the router first wait till all the lights except for the ONLINE light are solid flashing then plug in the cable modem and wait for about 30 seconds and try again.
