Washer starts to fill, then nothing

Typically error code E5E indicates that your Frigidaire washer is experiencing a communication problem. Base on the intensity of the issue, I suggest contacting a professional technician to accurately repair your washer. Typically, a technician will need to check the wiring between the main control board and the speed control board. Depending on the diagnoses and if the wiring is bad, it has to be corrected. However if the wiring is good the main control board may need to be replace or if the problem is not corrected, the speed control board is possibly faulty.

it indicates a communication problem between the central main control and the motor speed control. The two control boards are not talking to each other. The first step to resolving this problem is to check the wire connections at each of the controls. The main control under the top panel and the speed control behind the rear panel. See the images below for help with this. Pull and push on all of the connectors. Remember to unplug the washer first. If all connections are tight then most likely the main control will have to be replaced. If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician.

Before replacing check the voltage to the machine. Make sure the machine is not on any extension cord.when the machine is turned on make sure the voltage doesn't drop more than a few volts.
