I found down loading music very easy.
The playing of the track was the problem, the track was mp3 and not protected but after 10--12 secs the player stopped playing the track. Have you had this problem?
You really do not need the Cd to download the pictures. Hook up the USB cable, and turn on your Camera. Your computer should alert you that the camera is connected. Follow the directions on the computer to download your Pics. I am sure your CD was quite valuable and probably had some really cool programs to edit the photos. I like using Adobe Photoshop. I will see if I can find you a download for you a new Vivitar replacement.
