Have Kyocera FS-1118MFPF that is coming up with Error C6000. Can we fix this ourselves

Error C6000 is displayed when your machine fails to reach the correct temparature at a specific time.

This is a Fuser Unit Problem, try to reset it by--

First open top cover then turn on power.
press system menu/counter
arrow down to service
press and hold start, # then enter keys
arrow down to maintenance
press enter
arrow down to Sim 163
press enter
select execute
press enter
turn off power then back on

If the reset doesn't work then get your unit checked for fuser unit and fuser unit heat issues.

This C6000 error code is triggered by a few things all having to do with the fixing heater wire. Ask your technician to check the thermistor, the thermal cutout and the connection between the thermistor and the power supply board. My guess would be that the power surge overloaded the power supply board. This is not something that can be reset and may require new parts.
The manuals that describe the error codes are only available to Kyocera technicians, sorry.

Hello sir; Just follow my instruction, I will help you to get rid off the error code; With front door open press10871087 then enter 163 press "start" key, final press " stop/clear " key to get out reset procedure.

on the nunber keys, key in 10871087 the display should blink then enter 163 then;

1. Press the start key. The screen for executing is displayed.

2. Select the EXECUTE using the up/down cursor keys. The selected item is displayed in reverse.
3. Press the start key. The fixing problem data is initialized.
