Establish a right angle center line of the head and work from one side to the other side of the center line one bolt at a time. back and forth till you cover all the bolts twice over. never more than 85 ft lbs of torque on each bolt. I usely go to 65 lbs and then 85 lbs. If your not to sure of this answer use your computer to find the proper torque for your head, but this is the way I been doing for on and about 50 years.
