You received error 13042 when either one of 2 things:
1. when downloading something hiccuped and caused a bad zip file
2. when installing something went wrong and could not be installed....
solution is to delete the old zip file and download fresh from adobe.com

Well I think that you would have to completely uninstall the one you have, obtain a new adobe setup, restart your PC and install the new one. this should fix your problem, if not, then it is likely that you are having an OS problem which may be caused by a virus.
