If you want to remove HDD, make sure all the small screws are loosened up in order to remove the HDD. Please check with manual of the laptop, it should show locations of the screws.

SOURCE: hi..samsung r40 power jack ..how do i remove

hey, dc jacks are always a nightmare to replace, ie i guess you want to replace it, you actually need to remove the motherboard in the machine so you need to remove all screws on the bottom of the laptop, then remove the keyboard, and you will find more screws under there, and you will have to remove screen etc to gain access, ie everything needs to come apart to get into them. and once its apart you will have to unsoldier the old dc jack and resoldier on the new one, if you aint good at soldiering i wouldnt recommend doing it yourself.

SOURCE: How is the memory cover removed from this laptop?

Once you remove the two screws all you need to do is force open the cover. It has two "fingers" that hold the cover in place even if you remove the screws. This is a security feature to make sure that your RAM is safe even if the screws are missing.
Take a flat head screwdriver (or a knife with a pointy tip) and lift up the cover placing the screwdriver/knife between the two screws.
