check if dvd drive will eject if not
if it doesnt - try another socket
if still gets nothing - change fuse in plug
if same - try another power adapter (preferably from same manufacturer and model)
If still doesnt get power try get new power supply unit from repair shop or get quote for cost to fix

Go to control panel > mouse > on the upper tab, there should be a tab for device settings. Open that up and it should list your touchpad, highlight it and click on the settings button. In there enable "tapping" on the touchpad. Click apply and ok. If the touchpad does not show up under device settings or there is no device settings tab, then the driver for the touchpad is missing or corrupt. In the control panel, go to device manager and scroll down to mice and pointing devices, if the touchpad is listed there, right click on it and click Un-install, but keep the driver if there is one. Reboot the machine and windows will be forced to reinstall and update the driver. Let windows search for a new driver if it wants to. You should be back in shape.

Hi ethan kremer, I want to help you with your problem, but I need more information from you. Can you please add details in the comment box?
What OS are you running? Does the ouch pad work?
Hi Ethan, I to would like more specifics about your Acer even THOUGH I suspect you are running Windows 8. My Q to you is "Is the mouse USB connection type or maybe Bluetooth. All I can suggest is that if Touchpad works as well as another connected mouse than that mouse might be faulty. Try mouse on another computer to see if works, if it works on another maybe USB port. I suspect mouse especially if other USB device works fine on them laptops USB ports. Good Luck.
