The GR-D270U uses SD cards. They should be available at just about any department, electronics, or office-supply store. Make sure you get an SD card, not an SDHC card. While SDHC cards will fit into the slot, they are electronically incompatible and will not work.
You can use up to 1GB, and you cannot use TWO at same time, but you can use as many as you want in a row. you cannot split recordings across SD cards though.
In order to connect your GR-D70US to your USB port, you must insert an MMC or SD memory card into the camera, however neither of these cards is included with the GR-D70US, and the card must be purchased separately.
