How to use attachments on a dirt devil edge wedger

You didnt specify the model number, so I'll limit my answer to most common.

On most upright vacs, you disconnect the hose running to the floor pickup and attach the crevice tool (or whatever else you have) to the end of this hose. You then continue cleaning with the hose end atrachment.

I would imaging the Dirt Devil Edge Wedge is similar.

How to put on attachments

Hi there, it's Jack at Dyson.

DC14 includes a Stair tool, Dusting brush and a Crevice tool. These are push-fit parts and will attach either to the end of the wand when additional reach is needed, or into the hose cuff for cleaning in confined spaces.

Remove handle from hose electrolux

You don't have to "remove" the handle from the hose to attach other attachments, just depress the tab at the end of the hose and pull the upper wand loose then use the "adapter" to use the dusting brush or simply snap the crevice tool in place to use. If the handle won't come loose from the upper wand, then the described "tab" needs replaced as it's locking up the parts. Hope that helps!

Cannot find filter in bag compartment

Hi,
If you're looking for the exhaust filter, it is on the top of the machine under the crevice tool and dusting brush.
If you look at the rear of the machine you will see a tab on the attachment holder.
Remove the attachments on the unit
Push tab on rear of vacuum on the attachment compartment
Lift cover and your exhaust filter should be exposed and should just pop right off for replacement.

Is there a floor attachment that will fit my extention wand?

There is a Bissell Tool Dust Upholstery combo part # 2031099 or you can purchase a crevice tool part number # 2031063.

There is also a floor tool that goes to a different model, but it should fit if the diameter is the same it is part number B-2032081

You can find them here (use the search field to find the floor tool by part number)

No suction for use of crevice tools, running hot, then shut off

Obviously no suction in hose would indicate a blockage, over heating is a breaker that shuts off the machine when it over heats. There is no way to clean hose the on this model because the hose does not detach at either end, therefore I had to employ the use of the good old wire hangar. Job complete up and running, with good suction. It is amazing what a prayer to God can do.
