Error after memory upgrade

I upgrade a dell dimension 2400 from 256mb to 1gb of ram turned on the computer and recieved three beeps and an error code of green ABC yellow D.

Verify that it is the correct memory type.

DDR 266MHz PC2100

Or

DDR 333MHz PC2700

The frequency of 256mb ram is nt equivalent to one gb ram
