Hoveround MPV4 Just quit

I have purchased 2 AGM Batteries last year. I always kept the batteries charged. Three times now I will be using the Hoveround and it just stopped dead as if the brakes were put on. I was almost thrown out of the chair. I turned the switch off and on because the indicator lights on the control were off, and nothing happened. About 1/2 hour latter the lights came on and I started to use the chair and approx a distance of 20' it happened again. Now 24 hours latter I still can't get lights on the control to come on. I may need new batteries but I don't want to waste the money if the problem is something else. Can you help???

Make sure the connectors at the batteries are not loose and battery fuse is plugged in all the way

The Hoveround MPV-4 had 2 different types of battery connectors. The old type had threaded edges that you would plug in, then screw them tight. The new type has a release clip on one side. They switched from the old to the new because of continuity problems such as this. Which type of battery connector do you have?
