I have a D-link print server 300U, and i want to reset it.. how ?? I put an IP 192.168.0.3 and the gatway is 192.168.0.10So i tried to ping i didn't get any reply. Any idea ??
Try using the PSAdmin software to do a factory reset (download it from the internet if you need to). If it demands a password try the following:
password: SYSXXXX (Where XXXX is the last four digits of the MAC address, which can seen on the underside of the server)
I learned about the password part from http://www.fixya.com/support/t224263-dp301p_psadmin_password_forgoten, which has additional helpful details.
Use the app (u need to install it) in the CD. it will detect the Server no matter wt IP it has & you can reset if to factory defaults from d app.
If you want to reset it press reset button for 10 seconds.
It is in back side of router.
Tehn you can access your router with following link
http://192.168.1.1
or
http://192.168.0.1
Typew username as "admin" and password is "admin" or blank or "password"
In my case, it came back as 192.168.1.253. After changing the IP on my laptop to fit that subnet, I was able to log into it via it’s web interface (there was no password on it thank God!) and put it back to factory settings. Voila! What once was a brick is now a working print server!920 views
