Error on mutlimedia controller

I have a ConRoe 945g motherboard. i am getting a bang(yellow question mark) in device manager on multimedia controller. i have been unable to find a driver on the motherboard site and if i uninstall and reinstall it does the same thing.

specs:
board: ConRoe 945g
OS: windows xp home
ASUS board.

Any help would be great. i have also downloaded the belarc and driver detective for help but neither were able to come up with a result.

unfortunately that did solve the problem. had 16 updates to get so i got at least something out of the deal. i forgot to mention i noticed this after i did a format reinstall. the only thing it seems to stop from working is my mp3 player. does not recognize it when its plugged in. is it possible that when i got SP3 that it broke this part of the system? also tried running the motherboard cd again and still a yellow mark on the device manager.

Try using Windows Update.

It usually has most audio drivers for a variety of boards.

That's the easiest route to go. If that doesn't work, let me know and i'll dig deeper.

Hmmm....if you can't get it to install with SP3...hmmm....

Well I'd check the motherboard's support site for an updated driver and I'd also make sure I was running the latest bios revision.

    Try that.
