Yes I could be. My advice, if this freezer is 10-12 years old or more, you may be getting ready to spend a lot of money starting now. If not, have somebody physically look at it. Hopefully, it is just the relay or capacitor.

20.0 cu.ft upright frigidaire. I unpluged it because we were moving and it set for a while before we pluged it back up about six to ten months now it nolonger gets cold. what problem do i have?

Hi Kenneth.

I understood that the fridge is starting but does not cool.

Check fridge temperature settings.

Check if the motor is starting. If the compressor is not running of if it clicks and does not start is the relay/capacitor connected to the motor.

Check if coils have been damaged or if the motor runs most of the time. If there have been a leak or if the refrigerant pressure is low the fridge will not cool.

If thermostat or electronic control is defective the fridge will not cool.

I can be a bit more specific if you give me the complete model number.

My freezer defrosted and everything is starting to go bad. i turned the thermastat to 7 in an attempt to get it to start freezing with no luck. when the on/off switch is turned on a very loud alarm...

Whirlpool Gladiator Freezerator not cold

Just had the same problem on my Freezerator, the compressor would cycle on for a few seconds and then off for about 5-10 minutes. No cooling. Replaced the overload sw and the start capacitor and system running cold and tru. Beer cold again, 0deg in freezer. Parts are available on the web, P/n 2169373 for the capacitor and 213615000 for the switch and housing...may be different # for the sw....PTM
