Faxing I can not sent a fax...

    I have a KX FP343 FAX machine. I am not able to receive Fax.Please enlighten me as to the porcedure, in a very simple way.

Check weather the phone cord is connected in teh line jack on teh fax not in the extension>and set resolution-standard>and auto answer mode-o>and error correction mode-off>or u have over seas mode-it should be on>u have either any one of this>and baud rate-9600> check with band width on the pc>and reboot it>and check rate me solved if its help full

Clean the machine’s interior and the primary
corona wire of the toner cartridge This is a common cause for your printing/copying problem. This should solve your issue. Best of luck.

Tx (confirmation) Report needs to be enabled before sending the fax. Super G3 is an industry standard, not a model number. What model of Canon facsimile do you have? I have most User Guides downloaded...so I should be able to provide directions on enabling Tx Report. Let me know.

How do I put something on my tablet and fax it
I am not sure. Faxes are routinely sent from desktop and laptop computers that are fitted with a fax-modem so the telephone line can be physically connected. Faxes aren't sent through the internet like email but are sent through a direct phone connection to a telephone number.

So far I haven't heard of a tablet computer being fitted with a fax modem so I assume a fax can't be sent directly from a tablet. If a fax is prepared on a tablet I think it would need to be downloaded to a device that has a fax-modem and is connected to the phone.

Fax confirmation
most printer in the market has the same standard setting for the fax.
u can set the report many types for many user's purposes, some people want to save paper, save ink/toner, so they dont need report if the fax is sent but only print report if the fax is not good(NG or not sent)

it can be set to:
report off--means report will be print out only if the fax is NG
report off+image--means report will be print out if the fax is NG + the image of the page that is not sent(so we know which page is not sent through the image)
report on+image-- every fax activities( sent or not sent) will be reported, which is not recommended
etc....

how to set is depends on your printer, just go to the menu "FAX" and look inside the menu.

How do you find fax log for sent faxes on Dell 962 All-in-One
Only faxes sent and received by Fax Console can be seen by Fax Console. View the Status of a Fax Using Fax Console or Fax Service Management
  1. Click Start All Programs (or Programs) Accessories Communications Fax.

  2. Click Fax Console or Fax Management Services.

  3. The following folders appear:

    • Incoming - faxes currently being received

    • Inbox - faxes that have been received

    • Outbox - faxes scheduled to be sent

    • Sent Items - faxes successfully sent

  4. Click the folder of your choice.

  5. Click the fax in the right pane for which you want to view the status, and then click Preferences or Properties.

  6. Click the General tab and view the Status line.

  7. Click Close when you are finished

How can I get a FAX Confirmation printed out on the HPJ4680?
If you require printed confirmation that your faxes weresuccessfully sent, follow these instructions to enable fax confirmation beforesending any faxes. The default fax confirmation setting is Off. This meansthat a confirmation report is not printed for each fax sent or received. Aconfirmation message indicating whether a fax was successfully sent appearsbriefly on the control-panel display after each transaction. NOTE: You can include an image of the first page of the faxon the Fax Sent Confirmation report if you choose On Fax Send or Send &Receive, and if you scan the fax to send from memory To enable fax confirmation
1.Press the (Setup) button.
2.Press right arrow to select Print Report, and then press OK.
3.Press right arrow to select Fax Confirmation, and then press OK.
4.Press right arrow to select one of the following, and then press OK. Off Does not print a fax confirmation report when yousend and receive faxes successfully. This is the default setting. On Fax Send Prints a fax confirmation report for every faxyou send.
OnFax Receive Prints a fax confirmation report for every fax you receive.
Send& Receive Prints a fax confirmation report for every fax you send andreceive

In the Fax reports menu, you can select the fax log and it willl have the number you sent to, but the image is gone as soon as you fax it.

You don't. In fact, you can't really retrieve a record for a fax you sent yesterday - other than the fax #'s you sent to, and the number of pages - And that record only goes back a few days.

The machine keeps in memory only reports of faxes sent or received until the page is full.When the report page is full, the earliest fax is removed to make way for the most recent. Therefore if you sent enough faxes after 4 Apr 08 to fill a page, there will be no record.

Not sure if faxes have been sent successfully how can i tell?
I am not technically qualified for faxes but most fax machines i have used have a setting that allows you to have a receipt that prints off after you have sent one, this is something that can be turned off if not wanted, look in the manual and it will tell you how to reset it, i think it was called "polling" after a fax has been sent it prints off this little bit that says what time it was sent how many copies and time received, fax number it was sent to and sometimes company name etc some machines i have seen and used have a poll button after you have sent your fax, try just pressing it, it may print out a conformation receipt of the last ten faxes sent hope i have helped, if so rate me please
