Usually pressing the power button once will wake a computer from sleep. Often all that is needed is a mouse movement or hitting the enter key. If your are in Hibernation mode as opposed to sleep mode
The key stroke(s) needed will be in the Power Settings section of control panel.
Testimonial: "yes but could you tell me which F keys can also do this?"
Unless you have set one up for this function, why would Microsoft AND the manufacturer waste an F key on something that already has a keyboard button?
because the power button is no0t functioning correctly if I repeatedly press F1 and control it will awaken after many attempts...seems your alittle condescending if it was working as its supposed to i wouldnt be looking for an alternative
Then your computer is broken. As to being condescening, if you stated the power button was broken to begin with I wouldn't have bothered answering at all.
thanks for your help anyway the button is working just not as it should so i looked for alternative to wake it up i live on remote island and not easy get service etc
