Getting SC541 code on our copy machine. what does that mean?

It must be a Ricoh copier, and the model doesn't matter. This code is a fuser warm-up error, and can only be reset in service mode by a technician after the problem is fixed.

Error Code SC541

The Fuser Thermister is not working properly. The Fuser may need to be replaced or the two Thermisters need to be replaced on the fuser. This is what the code is calling for. A local Ricoh tech should have these parts. Hope this helped!

Error SC541 ON NRG MP 1600L

First try entering into SP mode by pressing:
Clear button>1 0 7> and press and hold the Stop button for 3 secs. Then switch off and on the copier.
If SC 541 code is still there, check the following in the fuser unit:
  • Fusing thermistors defective or out of position
  • Thermostats open circuit
  • Power supply board defective
  • Loose connectors of Fuser unit.
Good luck and please rate me, thanks.
